PokerStars Mac Guide

PokerStars has put a lot of effort in developing a Mac client that is easy to use and flexible with all the options and settings you can find on the PC version. On this guide we will explain how to install the Mac software on your computer or laptop, how to register a new account and finally how to make your first deposit for those interested to play the real money games.

Install PokerStars on Mac

As soon as the download finished, you'll be asked if you're ready to install the PokerStars software. Click "Next" to start the installation process. Now you'll need to read the license agreement and click the little circle by "I accept the terms of the license agreement", then click the "Next" button again. Now you'll be given the option to choose a destination folder for the files - just click "Install" to accept the default location. After a few minutes, the install will be done. Click "Finish" to close the installation window and automatically launch the PokerStars software on your Mac.

Register an account at PokerStars

To play PokerStars on Mac, or any operating system for that matter, you'll need to register an account. As soon as the PokerStars Mac software launches, you're given the option to login to an existing account, or create a new user account. Click "Create New Account". You'll need to fill out a little information. Choose a screen-name and password, enter your email address, and if you want to, you can choose an avatar to use at the tables.

Insert the PokerStars referral code THIRTY to claim deposit, then check the boxes "I am at least 18 years of age" and "I agree to the Terms and Conditions", and finally click "Sign Me Up" to create your player account.

Now PokerStars will ask you to validate your email address. The address you entered will be sent a validation code. Open your email and copy the validation code (highlight it and press CTRL+C). Then type in your email address in the validation window and paste (CTRL+V) the code into the text area. Then click "Validate" to validate your email. If you didn't receive the email, click "Resend Code", or just click "Validate Later" to do it at a later time.

Deposit Money at PokerStars on a Mac

If you plan to play for real money at PokerStars on a Mac, you'll need to make a deposit now. In the lobby, there's a big red button on the right side that says "Cashier". Click this button, then click "Make a Deposit".

The list of deposit options includes Visa and MasterCard, Quick Deposit (Instant E-Check) and Cash Transfer (via Western Union).

Select your preferred deposit method and follow the instructions, filling in the required info to complete the deposit. Note that your first deposit will be matched in poker chips when using the referral code THIRTY.
